Waves has been offering rental programs on some of their native plug-ins and plug-in bundles… From the Platinum Bundle to the 360 surround tools.
Prices vary depending on the products actual list price, but most of the plugin rentals go for a tenth of the cost of the plug-in for a 7-day rental, or 1/4 of the plugins cost for a 30 day rental.

This could be a new and very cost effective way of providing plugins to consumers. Some plug-ins are only needed on a very rarely or only once, and this is a good way to get the plug-in legally, and affordably.
