DiGiCo’s New SD8-24 Compact Digital Console

The DiGiCo S8-24

DiGiCo has recently announced and released their newest, smallest, and yes, most affordable console to date.  The DiGiCo S8-24.

The S8-24’s trick up it’s sleeve is it’s processing power… All FPGA Based (what is this?  to Wikipedia!).  One FPGA chip can harness more processing power than a whole traditional array of DSP Chips.

  • Up to 60 Channels (48 on Snake, 16 Analog on Console, 8 AES I/O)
  • 24 Mono or Stereo Busses in addition to Stereo or LCR Master Outputs
  • 16 x 12 Matrix
  • Each of these have full processing
  • 48 In, 8 Out Stage Rack w/ 100m Digital MADI Snake
    • Studio Grade Mic Pres on Stage Rack
